Photo Guidelines:
- Please use a digital camera or scan your favorite photo to a GIF or JPG file. Don't worry about the size as it will be resized if necessary. Please try to avoid unnecessary and distracting background elements in your photos.
- The pictures must be taken by you. Please do not send any picture taken from another Web site or otherwise not owned by you. It would be a violation of the law if the picture is published here and actually is copyrighted by another person.
To Submit Photos:
- Open a new composition window in your email program, and address an email to: islam.guide@about.com
- Copy and paste all of the text between the lines below into your new email window. We must be assured that the material you're submitting is your own, so if any text is missing we will not be able to use your photo. (To copy/paste, just highlight the text below with your cursor, then right click your mouse and choose "Copy". In your email window, right click again and choose "Paste.")
- Add the appropriate information to the text within that email window, attach the photo as a file attachment and send it in.
- While we certainly look forward to seeing and showing a lot of good photos from the Muslim World, we may not be able to use every photo submitted and reserve the right to use only submissions that we feel are appropriate from a subject or quality point of view. You will be notified when your picture is posted. Please allow 2-4 weeks time.
