1. AWAIR: Arab World and Islamic Resources
AWAIR conducts staff development workshops and publishes educational material about Islam and the Arab world for all age levels.
2. CIE: Council on Islamic Education
Since 1991, CIE has offered a number of important resources to help educators teach about Islam, Muslim history, and related world history topics. In 2007, CIE expanded their focus and began operating as the Institute on Religion and Civic Values. They offer teacher training workshops, online lesson plans, and other teaching resources.
3. CAIR: Council on American-Islamic Relations
This non-profit organization challeges misrepresentations of Islam and is a clearinghouse of information about Islam and American Muslims. Among their many services are conferences, seminars, and publications about Islam, and up-to-date information about issues facing Muslims in North America.
