- What do Muslims believe, and where can I learn more about the faith?
- First, you should read the Introduction to Islam. Then you can peruse the topic links at the bottom or left of each page. Feel free to browse around!
- Are you a scholar? Can you tell me if something is halal or haram? Can you give me personal advice?
- When something is clear in Islamic teachings, I will do my best to answer your questions with appropriate citation from Islamic sources. However, I am not an Islamic scholar and am unprepared to answer detailed questions about Islamic law or jurisprudence. Please visit the Islamic Law and Fatwa page for a list of places where you can get scholarly advice.
- I'm doing a school report about Islam - can you help me?
- While I won't write your paper for you, you may find resources on the About Islam site that can help you. Check the tabs and topic links, or use the "search" function for specific resources. Also be sure to check your local or school library. If you do email me a question, I need time to respond, so don't wait until the last minute!
- Can I republish your article in a newsletter or book? Can I copy your article onto my website?

- Suggestions for new links should be submitted by email to islam@aboutguide.com. I will review the links and add them if appropriate. I cannot guarantee that a link will be added, and the review of link submissions can take several weeks. I judge links based on the relevance and accuracy of the information, as well as the quality and stability of the website.

- If you'd like to discuss Islam in more depth and/or ask questions about the faith, try the Islam Discussion Forum. I check the Forum regularly and answer questions wherever possible. The Forum is also populated by many resourceful members who can also answer your questions and provide sources of reliable information. You can peruse all messages without becoming a member, but in order to post to a discussion you'll need to join. The process is easy and free of charge.
