Milad an-Nabi
Tuesday March 18, 2008
This Thursday marks the Islamic date of 12 Rabia' Awal 1429 H. -- the Prophet Muhammad's birthday. While not universally recognized as a holiday, some Muslims mark the occasion with increased remembrance of the life of the Prophet.

Mawlid An Nabi is celebrated by majority of the muslims. Infact it is a public holiday in some countries. A minority who follow wahabism and deobandism schools are against this practice.
12 rabil awal is not mention in any hadis, nor prophet(SAW)had celebrated his birhday coz birthday celebration is haram in islam.just have a simple logic that birthday literally means u r gettng older and v r enjoyng it
allah had permitde that v should celebrate only 2 eid which is eid ul zoha(bakri eid) and ramzan eid. so my brothers and sisters plz do not celebrate any other festival which is not mentioned in hadis and quran.
But people quotes from Suhaba Ikram many things , and they prove that Many Suhaba Celebrated it. Its very difficult to even argue with them about it. They feel don’t love Prophet PBUH etc..
I forget the word “we” They feel we don’t have affection with Prophet PBUH etc..
I don’t think the Prophet (s.a.w.) ever celebrated his birth day in his life time. Why then should we? The love for the Prophet (S.A.W.) is not to celebrate his birth day but to adhere to what he taught and stood for.
milad nabi is very good ilked
in the Name of allah most gracious most mercyfull we real sunni muslims almost believe and really know That the prophet Momaed peace be upon Him had not celebrated in His birth day but he and his fellow Men celebrated The Two Eid days Eid al tuha and EId alFirti I repeat and repeat msulims musn,t Do Like invidels Do In Their birth days and My Allah’s blessings be upon you
