Sources of Islamic Law

Thursday August 10, 2006
Muslims believe the Qur'an to be the direct words of Allah, as revealed to and transmitted by the Prophet Muhammad. All sources of Islamic law must be in essential agreement with the Qur'an, the most fundamental source of Islamic knowledge. When the Qur'an itself does not speak directly or in detail about a certain subject, Muslims only then turn to alternative sources.

I never happy with the articles placed on this site because they lack detail and our so short. Alot of non-muslims and uninformed muslims can be mislead with articles like this.

Many of the articles on the Islam site are short because they are meant to be an easy-to-read web introduction for people who know nothing about the subject. Links to additional, more detailed information, are always given for those who want to read more.
