Washing of the Ka'aba

This week, the Ka'aba was washed in preparation for the upcoming month of Ramadan. The Ka'aba is washed twice a year, once before Ramadan and once before Hajj. During the washing, the door is opened and the hollow interior is washed with Zamzam spring water mixed with rose water. This is just one more reminder that Ramadan is coming soon!
